Performance evaluations are an imperfect tool. When used correctly, they can provide useful feedback and constructive criticism. When used as weapons, they can be demoralizing and harmful.

Thank you for your feedback! It took me years to understand what happened to me was not normal nor cool. But I also realized that this was a plantation-like newsroom and I'm not the type that sucks up and is always looking for validation. Perhaps because I'm imperfect I expect that people value my work and respect me for what I bring into the plate.
